Default Alrighty, turn signal question....

I have a 1990 GT and my turn signal isn't working. The brights work, as do the wipers and hazard lights, I doubt it's the switch, so what do you think it could be?

Alrighty, wasn't the flasher, just replaced it. Now I'll check the ignition wires.

Holy crap...

I have one shorted wire, gray with a yellow stripe (that the one?) And it would seem that the whole harness/pigtail is very very melted..

Also, in my 1989 GT, there are two blinker relays. One for the hazards, which is on the fuse panel, and another above the driver's left knee.

Damn man, you just spent...what 100$+ bucks on the multifunction switch for it not tofix the problem?I just had this same problem last night. I lost my turn signals, but the 4ways worked..was gettin ready to pick up a new switch when I looked under the column and saw one of the connectors not plugged in all the way. It usually is a bad connection before a bad switch

ones for the hazards and the other for the turnsignals better rewire the melted wires or replace that section of the harness

In my 1990 GT it's in the fuse panel and right behind the stereo.

Nah, I didn't buy a new switch, I was about to though. What I did do though is pop the switch from my working 1990 LX into the GT to test to see if it'd work (I didn't want to waste the $60 at the U-pull-it place and have it not work) So yeah, didn't work in the GT, so that ruled out the switch. I'm going to go fiddle with the wires some more before it gets dark, and on Tuesday I'll run to the bone yard and pull an unmeltedpigtail.
