you can drill holes in the lifter valley and tap em for the stock setup, or check out summit for retrofit rollers.

either way, 50 bucks is always a good price for a usable block - so yeah grab that thing.

people are gonna shoot me, but you DONT need a roller cam to make big power (it just helps)

Yeah, if it's a complete shortblock and in good shape, $50 is a steal for the block and crank alone!I dunno if tapping for the stock piece works cuz I haven't done it,Ford lists it for production roller blocks only, and the retro-fit lifters care like $450-500 a set. It may be that the stock rollersetup works but they just try to get you to spend almost 10x as much by saying it won't

well, i have had other people telling me not to get it, because of strength factors and whatnot..

i've also been looking at a 1972 C block, the guy wants $200, but i'm not sure whether i want to go that route or not

you can make those numbers with the 302. then you have to remember you would still have to buy the headers and oil pan etc etc. i would just use the extra money in the 302. i would buy the 351 and turn around for more though and make a profit
