drive normal all the way up to 5th, and then stomp on it in 5th and if your rpms jump up, then your clutch is going bad

Does anyone have any other tests i could try?
Or could it possibly be someting else that feels like the clutch slipping. Even though the clutch would make sense since it is a 17 year old car with the original clutch.

While im driving or just parked with clutch in? Also when I am driving I only have to push the clutch in a tiny bit before i can shift smoothly. Were as in my friends car he has to put the clutch right to the floor before he can shift.

Here is how you tell if your clutch is slipping. Just go take a drive and get your car going at around 25mph-35mph, then shift the car into 5th gear. The car SHOULD bog down from being in 5th gear at such a low speed. If the car does not bog and rather you just hear it rev up, it means your clutch is slipping and its time for a new one.
As far as comparing your clutch to your friends and the point where they grab, well you can't really compare. What you can do is start your car and put it in neutral. Then use your foot to lift the clutch pedal up(I believeyou will hear a click). Then depress the clutch all the way down. What you are doing is adjusting the clutch with the stock quadrant. Then let the pedal up like normal, now try driving and see how everything feels. I warn you that depending on how much adjustment is made, you might have a little readjusting to do to understand your clutch again.

RE: Signs of a worn clutch?
I tried adjusting already but it doesnt click or do anything. I guess I'm just gonna have to buy a new clutch. sigh. But luckily its only gonna cost me $140 (canadian) plus tax for a dynapak clutch kit. And $30 to turn the flywheel. Still havent decided whether I will do it myself or take it in. If i take it in it should cost me another $200. And i should probably od my rear main seal too while Im at it.
