you have to kinda tip the battery towards the POS cable and get it attched, then lay it down.
I also disconnected the ring on the neg cable where it attaches to the radiator support. I then cut the cable, soldered and shrink wraped where the ring connector was, and left it like that... doesnt cause any issues

how hard and how expensive would it be to mount it in the trunk?

hey i solved the problem. it ws aactually a piece of cake. all i had to do was drill one small hole.
heres where the ground wire went.(top left nut)

heres how it sits for now.went from an interstate 540 cold crank amps - 800 cca.(note: i did not put that P.O.S. interstae battry in. it was on the car when i bought it.) thank you
