Default springs and control arms

will aftermarket springs and control arms for the 8.8 fit the 7.5 rear axle? it looks like all the mounting locations are in the same place on the 8.8 and the 7.5 just curious, as it may take some time to track down a decent 8.8 where I live

didnt the '79-85 5.0s use them? I honestlydont know if I have the time tofind/clean/repair?/install one before I go back toShip...I would assume that if I dont stomp on it too hard I'll be fine until I can get my hands on one that is good, prolly in december when no one is looking around in the wrecking yards cuz of the cold...

To answer your original Q, yes they will fit. Until you get an 8.8 to add to it they will give you all the benefits that they would if you did have and 8.8

thanks man, I did manage to find one within a 50 mile radius, but it was missing the pumpkin... so no dice, but I am not one to waver in defeat, I'll just hunt some more. I would love to find one with 3:55 gears in it already, but that may be pushing it[8D]

yeah, I'll driving her like there is a crate of eggs under the pedal... lot of Buford T. Justice style police officers near me who would love to jump on a Jalapeno Red mustang with some 5.0 badges on the side and dual pipes running out the back...

It won't break! well anything can break I guess?? Iconverted my 92 4 cylinder to a 5.0 using an 85 gt as a donor the rear end was bent in the 85 (guy rolled it and slammed into a rock wall) but the traction loc unit was still good so I took the guts out of the 4 cylinder and used the 85 traction loc with the 4 cylinder 3.45 ring and pinion gear. I have over 150 passes on the car at the track using 26/10.50/15 mt et streets car runs 13.70's at 98 mph and as you know the 4 cylinder rears are 7.5's so I use it I abuse it and it takes a likin and keeps on tickin'!!! of course it'll eventually go out but not yet!!!
