Imagine a fire in the car with you still in it and the fuel pump pumping more fuel into the cabin... Just do your best to route lines away from the exhaust. Some people have slipped them in the frame rails. People that have a fuel cell in the backhave to construct a barrier to separate the fuel from the driver and the lines are still routed under the car.
