Would it be a worth itto put a spool on a street driven stang? If not why?

spools totally lock the rear end, whilst a limited slip rear end unlocks during turns so that you can turn easier.

spools will make the outside tire "hop"

Unless you do a lot of city driving where you find yourself turning corners a lot. Spools can cause your tires to wear faster as one drags or hops through a turn. And it can be annoying at times. I run a Richmond Powertrax locker, it opens up when you turn(unless you give it some throttle in the turn, then it locks up) and locks completely when you get on it or when you're going straight. I suffer not for traction, and my lil 67 does better in the snow than quite a few 4 wheel drives if I have the right tires

tires chirp. you just have to be careful when you take turns. i plan on running a spool in my car just for the straitline

I got my Powertrax for like $450 or a bit more for the whole unit. It replaces the entire differential assembly that is inside the carrier.
