Default hook up low oil pressure light? using shift light

hey guys like stated above. i want to hook a low oil pressure light up to a shift light pretty much. what and how would i managae this. could i just tap into the oil pressure light on the guage cluster if there is one? or must i tapright into the oil sending unit?

tapping right of the oil pressure sending unit won't achieve your goal as you need something that has power on it /12 volts the sending unit doesn't best way if the cluster has a idiot light is tap into that. you'll need a wiring diagram to identify the right wire

IMHO dont bother tapping into the low oil light because it goes off when your oil becomes way to LOW!!!!, i'm talking like less then 2 quarts

well wat could i tap into taht has a 12v source and will notify me of low oil pressure?? low oil pressure no low oil level.

you want the best way to do this intall a mechanical gauge can't go wrong there and get a pillar mount pod so it'll stare you in the face. I've never liked voltage dependant gauges because if you lose a ground or power they fail to work mechanical gauges don't
