Default gear and tire question.

I have a 3.73 in my car what tire size would give me more gear. Would a 26 inch or a 28 inch tire give more gear with out having to change gear.

Second which would be better, I really dont go to the track much maybe some test and tune days........ 26 m/t et street or a 26 m/t slick or a 28 et street or 28 slick right now I got stock axles. I notice right before the traps I have to shift into 4th gear shifting around 5700 rpm.

Shorter tires the "more gear". Shorter turm over more often than a taller tire and thus raisng rpms.

Unless you're putting down a lot of power, stay w/ 26's.
