To the Mustang gods
I have a 1987 lx 5.0hatch it has a new King Cobraclutch(I was told when I bought it)with some kind of billet adjuster. When I'm in to it hard and try to go to 2nd gear it won't go(between 5000-5500 rpm's) but when theR's are down it shifts no problem.....I am running open headers and no o2's i don't know if that makes a differance or not. What do the gods think the problem might be?...I need all the help I can get this is my 1st Ford I have always been a Chevy man

Sounds to me like you clutch isnt disengaging all the way. Is the billet adjuster a firewall adjuster or just a quadrant? If its a firewall adjuster, you can try turning it counterclockwise so that it tightens the clutch cable a little more, try 2 full turns and you should feel it going into and out of gear smoother.
