tuning fuel pressure regulator

you can tune the fuel pressure regulator right?

i don't have an a/f gauge so how do i know what its good to leave the regulator at cuase atm i got a pretty often backfire and mostly low rpms.

set it around 40-41 psi with the vac line disconnected

The vacuum line disconnected simulates full throttle and no vacuum going to the regulator.

41psi. even with a wideband o2 you cant really tune a car with fuel pressure. you can if your just slightly off but any major change must be done by changing injector pulse width

+1. Tuning using fuel pressure and timing is a cheap / crappy way to tune a car. If you find that you're running a little lean or rich then adjust the MAF transfer which will in turn, alter the injector PW.
