Just out of curiosity, are you auto or 5-spd? And with the cam that you have a there will for sure be a power dip. Probably around the 1500-1750 range. Just the nature of the beast.
If its an auto, do you have a stall convertor?

PS: But as for you going lean, I agree with 67 I think you need a diff cam with a faster ramp.

Yeah, that's a good point, with a cam and depending on trans and gearing, at lower rpm you may be able to get clean accleration, but not necessarily good acceleration

BTW, if you don't already have the pump cam and secondary spring assortment kits, get them. I used both extensively. The only thing that's still the same about my 570 is the jets in the secondaries, and even that may change if I do some wideband tuning

changed cam from #2 to#1 and it's better 1500 rpm and lower.....I will try to buy a cam and spring kit and go from there....thanks to everyone for there help....

Good grief, the pink cam has the softest ramp of them all. Get the cam kit and try the the lower lift cams with a bit more initial duration. If you're getting enough fuel with the pink one when you nail it, you'll prolly wanna avoid the blue cam, and maybe the orange one as well
