Default rear end rebuild

I think my traction lock needs a rebuild. I rarely get 2 wheels spinning and am looking for more bite. I read this article but have some questions. I plan to do the cpcpcpc setup. Will I have to set the lash or worry about any clearance issues? I don't have any experience with diffs and am not looking for a hassle. The article makes it seem like I just put in the new hardware adn throw everything back together.

If all you're doing is removing the carrier to put new clutches in, then yes. It's R&R. Just make sure you put the shims back in like they came out
