RE: advancing timing, water pump in way!!
heres what u do, get a white pen of somewort, mark from 10-15 dergres real good, push hard andcover the whole area, then take some steel wool and brush over it, it will remove the excess ink, and all that will be left is where the ink made its way into the indents where the marks are , what i did, worked GREAT!

It's ok, I already did it. What I did was buy a white out pen, and from the diagrams that roundman gave and the photo mustang8719 gave me, I was able to find the correct marks on the balancer. So I simply took that white-out pen and drew a line on the 10 mark, then one on the 14 mark, let that dry, then I gave it a shot. Those two white marks worked like a charm, stood out like a sore thumb with the timing light.
Thanks again for all the help.

It feels a bit better in the low end, and it feels a bit faster overall, but I'm not sure if that was what did it. To be honest, this month I did so many things to my car, it could be a combination of everything that is making it run better, soon I'll have the Moroso cold air induction system, a new alternator, no more nylon fan, hello electric fan, and good bye smog pump. When it's all done, then I'm sure it'll feel even better.
