fried clutch?

fried clutch?
so since a few days my clutch pedal has been kinda flimsy. as in there is a lot of play in it before it engages. like there is no tension on the cable. it also doesn't disengage/engage until right at the floor. aaand it chatters a lot. is it time for a new clutch?
oh i tried adjusting it... pulling the pedal up, but that didn't do anything.
by the way it's a 93 gt.
thanks!!

RE: fried clutch?
it's been replaced once, by the previous owner. it was replaced by "clutch doctor"
no clue what kinda they put in and what not.
oh.. also the throw out bearing was squeaking before and it's stopped squeaking since it got all weird on me, if that helps any

RE: fried clutch?
usually when you apply some pressure it'll stop squeaking, like if you rest your foot on the pedal
anyways....sounds like a worn clutch to me, or a bad stock quadrant and won't adjust anymore cuz it's plastic garbage
