the Hurst pistol-grip quarter stick shifter. Is it a good shifter?



i've been thinking of getting it for my fox and just custom make a shifter bezel out of aluminum.

Whoops, i guess you haven't. But you did say you were getting the b&m star shifter. Why not just get that.

i run a b&m pro stick. the hurst pistal grip WILL NOT work on an aod. it will work on a c4 if thats the tranny you have. if you want that style shifter and have an aod then the b&m pro stick is for you. its basically the exact same shifterbut with a ball on top instead of a pistal grip.

keep in mind that a shifter like this on a stock tranny would be just for show. you cant control the stock aod because the valve body wasnt designed for it. i run a full manual valve body so i complete control over my tranny which is what justifies my using this shifter. works great on the street as well.
