Default Spinning Tires first 75ft

Went to the local "Street Drags" at the local short track that lets people run on the front stretch in drag format. So I took my '90 notch down there and had a hell of a time hooking up. 331 DSS Stroker, C4 Tranny w/shift kit and 3200 stall, 3.73 gears, Edelbrock RPM Performer Intake, Edelbrock Cams, Edelbrock RPM Performer Heads, BFG drag radials(15 psi). They didn't allow burnouts so I'm wondering if that would be one of my main contributors in spinning for the first75 feet or so. This is my first car with drag radials and I'm not real familiar with the characteristics of them.

+1 and make sure you drop the tire pressure starting with about 18 psi.

They'll stick better than a street radial when not heated, type out your best time slip, I'm interested to hear your times. Also, what track doesn't allow burnouts? That's retarded.

It was pretty ghetto, no time slips or times posted, the "strip" was only375 ft long (its aoval short track), and yeah no burnouts (I'm not sure the reason behind that considering I would think it would be more of a safety issue by not heating up the tires.) Looking to go to a real track this weekend.
