The C-4 will work fine with the BB, you'll need to beef it up though. Do a search here, and check out http://www.fordifiedracing.homestead...gblockfox.html.

he'll need a C4 big block bellhousing, which may be harder to find than a C6 which is cheaper to make handle that kinda HP anyways.

JW makes the bell housing and it's SFI rated so you dont need a flexplate shield.C-4 will give more room and be quicker. You'll need a BFH to make a C-6 fit.

who runs a 800ci motor in a street car.
honestly, why not? if i had the money for the swap and the stroker kit i'd do it, i mean - you could have a low compression naturally aspirated motor that would run 87 octane, built with a very streetable cam for good idle quality, and still make GOBS and GOBS of power.
i believe you need an aftermarket 460 block to go 800ci (806 to be exact). i dont think the stock 460 block will go that big

FWIW, Erica Ortiz was running in the 6's at over 200MPH with a stock 460 block with 4-bolt main conversion. 557 is about the biggest you can go with a stock block, but at least you dont have to do any grinding for clearance.

You will need to sink some money into a c-4 to have it last long behind a big block. Even though it is a pain you might consider a c-6 which is a stronger tranny. From what I have heard a c-6 will fit, but there are exhaust clearance issues and slight tranny tunnel clearance issues which may require the BFH mod...I would not buy an ebay engine simply because any problems you have, involve shipping a big block. 460s are cheap to buy, pick one up, order a nice rotating assembly and have a good local shop build it. Very possible you can save money that way as well. My 2 cents...
