Default What can be done about this??

I installed BBK equals laast night and now my steering rack is rubing against the header. I've heard of this before just curious if there is a remedy to this, or if they will evetually dent themselves.

your motor mounts are worn replace them, or just dent the header[8D]

The fix for this needs to be a tech sticky since it's asked so often. Like stated above, replace the mounts or shim the drivers side to cure the problem.

I just dented in the header tube slightly with a ball pinhammer.

Screw that. New headers=300 bucks. Not denting the header tube!!

you can also get a aftermarket smaller steering shaft, but I would just shim the mount

put washers between the motor mount and the mounting surface, that will get u enough clearance. mine took 2 washers, do it to each side so its not uneven.
