Hole in my water pump!??!!?!
Can anyone tell me what this hole is and if it's supposed to be there? It looks like something might have been threaded in there, but definitely doesn't look normal. I started looking around since I started hearing what sounds like a little bearing noise out of the front of the motor and I noticed the fan was wobbling a real slight bit and then saw this hole. If you look into it, I think you can see the shaft going to the impellar. Not normal, is it?

So can the water pump make that kind of bearing noise before it goes? With that noise and the fan wobbling, that's what i'm thinking it is. Any other way to verify it without changing it?

my fan was wobbling and i though it might have been the water pump but after replace the water pump(it started leaking anyways) then the plastic part of the fan i only had one option left which was the fan clutch. the fan clutch is what ended up fixing the wobbling fan for me. i belivee it is like 30 bucks at autozone.

i'd say 98.73619% chance that wobbling = fan clutch bad. perfect excuse for a junkyard electric fan conversion[8D][8D][8D]
