rpm gauge whent crazy..?

i was just entering the onramp to the freeway and hit 1st then 2nd all of a sudden the stock rpm gauge whent all the way down past the redlining point.. wat could of caused it..?

You may have something wrong in the electricity do you run an 6AL or 6A MSD

It could be a short in the wiring...

well i dnt have ignition box.,so im also thinkin it was a short but the gauge is working know..? wierd
