Default centerforce clutch opinons

i think im going to buy a center force DF clutch. 2 of my friends have the spec and hate it, both of thei TOB is going bad and ones is slipping already with just bolt ons. what is everyones opinion on the centerforce DF clutch. motor build is in the process. nothing crazy scat 306 with ported gt40ps from tristate. but i would like to add a shot of juice and just wanted to make sure it would be ok. there will be the occassional track day, but car is my DD. also how about the king cobra clutch

I have a dual friction and I love it. I have not heardof many peoplewho like the king cobra. Make sure you resurface your flywheel or installing a new clutch is pointless. Do not drive your car hard for the first 500 miles or itwon't mate to the flywheel surface. Your clutch will last longer and won't start slipping. My car is just as streetable as it was with the stock clutch and I know of people running 11.5's andfasterwiththe dual friction. Make sure you always have some free play and install a firewall clutch adjuster if youstart to lose your free play. You shouldn't have problems with the release (TO) bearing if you have free play.

I just went to the centerforce DF from the king cobra and man what a difference. Trust me your left leg will thank you. My king cobra never slipped but the pedal was really stiff. Now with the DF it is alot easier and much smoother.

I had nothing but trouble with the CF clutch discs. The pressure plate was great but the discs would swell when hot and I couldn't put it in gear. I have to give CF credit I sent the discs back and they sent me new ones. After some hard drag strip passes they all did the same thing. I went to a Ram and have had no trouble.

No problems with my centerforce here. Also the throw out bearing going out has nothing to do with the clutch. Normally its just lack of lubrication.
