IS the trans mission for the 5.0 1994 the same as the fox body 5.0s? One of my buddies wants me to change his transmission on his 1994 gt 5.0 I was wondering idf the fox body 5.0s had the same transmissions.. And how hard is the job? I have changed transmissions on 5speed jettas, 5speed 300zxs, and awd 5 speed wrxs. Am I looking at an easy job? Thanks

they are NOT the same. The fox 5.0's have an AOD transmission which works on vaccume lines etc. The 94-95 5.0's have an AOSE which has an electronic puch button over drive. They are totally different and will not work.
I have a good AOD for sale in the parts for sale section.
I also have an AODE with a bad 3rd gear. ( if you need one to rebuild for your project.)

im sorry, that only applies for automatic cars. I am unshure about 5 speeds..

the 94-95 5.0 five speeds have a longer input shaft and will not work for 79-93 mustangs unless you swap out the input shaft and if you don't know how to take it apart to do that I'd leave well enough alone but pulling the tranny is easy can be done in less that 1 hr on a lift with air tools!!!

Ohh. because I am having trouble finding a 94-95 transmission for a good price. If anyone knows of somewhere where I can get one that would be great.
