Default Water Temp

Just a quick question. I added a new intake to replace my stock one and the temp stays about the same. Should I get a bottle of Purple Ice and see how it works? Any people use this product? Do you recommend it? thanks.

well purple ice is advertised to decrease the water temp. but based on switching intakes the temp stays in the middle. (idk a number) but when idling for a few minutes after about 10 min of driving it increases temp about 2 bars.

im running almost the same set up and i would suggest going with a 160 stat and if u have an electric fan make sure it is working properly and spin it by hand make sure theres no drag.i modded a fan set up that works great it consist of the frame portion from a 89 nissan sentra and fan motors from a 95 sebring on a switch works and fits great.

Yeah that may be true but the problem with the mustang gauges is that they arn't all that clear the bottom says 130 and max says 270 and all that inbetween is the quote un quote normal range. I did away with mine and went mechanical it's alot more accurate and will save a motor in the long run
