Default building a new 5.0

i am looking through the local classifieds to find a 5.0, anything special i should look for? should i look for it to be out of a stang.. my plan is rebuild it strong and run a turbo with a small shot of juice... like 50 shot. is there any certain way i should build it? what NEEDS to be upgraded to make it a strong running engine and run good.. heads? any info is appreciated?

I'd get one from a stang if it were me...then you know it'll have the right firing order and a roller ready block without having to buy anything extra. Upgrade your fuel pump and injectors for what's ahead that you planned...heads would be a great idea...AFRs...

to run boost and nos together i would recomend going with a lower compression set up and some healthy forged internals... how much boost are you planning on running???

my buddy got a roller 5.8 out of a van and put some rousch heads and a z cam in it with a carb and is runnin in the 7's in the 1/8 th. It had like 80K miles and he just bolted it together. They dont have very high compression so you could boost one if you wanted it. He sat on his nitrous switch and blew it all to hell though

Dude if you're building it from the ground up get some really low compression pistons and cram a sh@tload of boost in there, like 7.5:1 or 8:1. With a turbo and that much boost going in you'll be way into the 12's, most likely 11's. Make sure you get high quality forged internals so you don't blow it up.

i would not run a stock 5.0 bottom end with turbo boost into the 12's.

dont 89-92's have low compression with forged pistons? but i want the engine to be farely strong so i would need new pistons? cheaper the better but if it will save t from blowing up ill definetly buy it.
