Default squeeky belt

My belt keeps doin a really loud squeel whenever I rev it up. The wierd thing is that I lubed my belt and I know thats not the problem. I was thinkin the belt might be too tight. Would that cause this and how can I fix it? thanks

Try taking the belt off and spin everything and make sure you don't have a bad bearing somewhere.

I had the same problem and I found out that the belt was to big and the arrow on the tensioner wasn't in the "range" area. So you might need a new belt. I hope that helps!!

lubing a belt is a temp fix. just buy a new belt now if you got a new belt and it still squeals could be the wrong size or you have a bent pulley

Well the belt bypasses the power steering and the smog. The tensioner is all the way down, if that makes any sense. Is that a sign that the belt is too big.

Yes!! The tensioner has a arrow on it which is supposed to be in the"range" area and not all the way down. In other words your belt is to big. I hope I explained it o.k.--if not maybe someone else can explain it to you better. Good luck!
