any quadrent and firewall adjuster is fine steeda is the most common and best, your OEM cable is the most durable also so stick with that

The stock adjustment system uses two plastic paws (one is the quadrant) under the dash to adjust the tension on the cable as the clutch wears. The problem is that the system, in my opinion, never worked very well to begin with and as time goes on it gets worse. The little teeth on the paws wear down and sooner or later they no longer engage each other at all.

If you choose not to run a firewall adjuster with an aftermarket quadrant, you'll have to get an adjustable cable and adjust it under the car periodicly. My OE replacement grade aftermarket cable was adjustable, so its not a big deal to find one, it's just a pain in the butt. Plus... With a firewall adjuster its easier to fine tune your clutch feel to suit your needs.

All that being said, my adjuster and quadrant are both steeda and I'm happy with them.

I'll second running a stock cable. I have an adjustable cable on my fox right now. Worthless. It wore down so I'm having to readjust it about once a week. Not to mention it just feels weaker. If I were you, I'd buy a firewall adjuster, an aftermarket quadrant (that ISN'T) plastic, and a STOCK cable. You'll be much happier.

have you read the posts belair? the OEM ford cable is better, the firewall adjuster is all you need to adjust the cable
