RE: HP gains from a/e removeal ?
its not really meant to be a horsepower gain. its more for weight transfer.
sure, you get a little bit less parasitic loss from the belt accessory system, but the real purpose of it is for weight transfer.

heres what ill tell you from actually doing it, you cant listen to people who havnt done it. before i removed my a/c say i was in 5th gear on interstate, i slapped it to 3rd doing 70 i just went, now that i have removed the a/c i hear chirp anything under 100. and my a/c in my car doesnt work, so i just removd it completely i bought the kit to move the power steering up.

i was talking about the 0.649 hp crap, youll notice a diff. but if you live anywheres that gets hot, its not worth it, i live in louisiana, removed the a/c and omg i regret it but i didnt feel like pulling the dash out to change the evap core. there was actually a proven study though for every pulley you delete you get like 2-3 hp.

I've completetly removed all the HVAC gear from my racer.
I think you'll get more in wieght reduction than in HP.
I've read where Vizard claims that each 10# you remove from the car, it has the effect of adding 1 HP..........
Seems reasonable to me IME..........
