Default ignition timing marks (last time i swear!)

Hey guys, I gave changing the ignition timing today. Well, I disconnected the wire from the ignition coil so i can advance the harmonic balancer with the starter without starting the car. I tried looking at the marks, and here is my question.

I'm not sure if it is just too dirty or something, but I don't see any marks above 10. I THINK I see a 0 and a 10 to the LEFT of that 0, and then no more marks after that 10. Is this how it's supposed to be? Am I suppose to guestimate where 14 should be past that point? Or am I looking at the wrong side? There looks like there are marks to the right of what I think is 0, but cannot really read any markings after that.

Does anyone know if there is a diagram somewhere that shows the orientation of these markings? Or whether the distributor should be turned clockwise or counter-clockwise?

Thanks guys.

see is this pic helps you figure it out. and don't forget to unplug the spout connector on the wiring harness to the distributor when you set the inital timing and plug it back in when you're finished. if you really don't have any marks past the 10 degree mark, you can estimate the distance by using the spacing for the marks you have going from the zero up to the 10 and making some additional marks of your own spaced the same as the marks you can see.

Ok, looking at that last picture, should I go to "A" or "B?"

This is my balancer I have 10 degrees marked and you need to go to the right of the mark in red.
