Default turbo pipe

has any seen or heard of insulated turbo piping, weather it be the hot side or induction side. this kid i was talking too (ricer) said he has insulated piping that has a tar/cork/foil insulater inside his pipe to keep the kooling in, the hot out. visa versa with hot parts as well.

is this all bogus info or have you heard of this before. also if you have do you know where it can be found?

P.S. its not heat wrap, i asked him about that and he said his header is but not on any part of the turbo
