Power Window Problem

I know this should probably go in another section, but I need this question answered and the 5.0 section seems to answer more questions than any other forum.

Anyway, I've got a 94 GT and the drivers side window is stuck down. My dad took my car out on day and rolled the window down and it didn't roll back up. The motor didn't seem weak or anything before this but I went out and bought a new motor anyway. I hooked the new motor up and it didn't work. So I pulled it off the car and ran some power to it and it turned on. I did the same with the old motor and it worked as well. So I tested all of the connections and there is power going from the button to the motor. I checked the fuses and there are no blown fuses. I switched the window buttons on the pad around and they both worked on the passenger side, but neither worked on the drivers side. One thing I had noticed is that when I pressed the drivers side button before it didn't automatically roll down every time. That's the only odd thing that the window ever did.

I'd appreciate any help I can get.

It's not that the window is getting stuck, it's that when I push the button down the motor doesn't work. BUT when I push the button down power is sent to the motor. It just doesn't work. I don't have the motor in the door by the way, I just make sure its grounded and then try. I want to get it working before I put it back in.

Can you move the window without the motor in place?

I found that I had a "blockage" keeping the window from moving.

No, I will not divulge the "blockage".

No I have the motor outside of the door. So yes I can move the window as there is nothing stopping it from moving. The problem I am having is that even though there is power going to the motor (Which is sitting outside of the door, but still plugged up) the motor doesn't work.

No I don't think so because I put 12volts directly from the battery to the motor and it worked.

so your saying if you hold the motor in your hand, it will work.

and you can freely move the window up and down with your hand..

but when you combine the two, nothing happens.

Alright found the problem. There was a connection I missed on the door panel itself. I just finished putting it all back together just as it started pouring rain too. Oh and I put the motor in backwards so up is down and down is up :D
