ok guys my buddy has a 1989 notch and he took his dash out recently and then put it back in and after that his car wouldnt start by a key he has to jump the cellonoid any suggestions what that could be any wiring diagrams anything that could help

Get a haynes manual, it has all of the wiring diagrams.

did he forget to plug the ignition switch back in or by accident yank a wire out or forget to bolt a ground back up somewhere??

no we were just was looking threw it all today

well if hes able to jump it at the solenoid then theres nothing wrong with the ignition switch when its in the run position. its the switch he might have fried it when hooking it up. just buy a new one and that should do it. The problem is when the the ignition goes to start. So its the switch or from the switch to the next thing it goes to which would be starter I think have to look in my books. Give me a sec I will post back.

Check the white pink wire from the ignition switch. Follow it.
