replace or not
ok if you havent followed my posts, i think most of the people that kno alot have read my previous posts on the junk from my first oil change. heres a short run down.
i bumped the timing to 20 base like a damn idiot, drove it, pinged, brought it back and thought i turned it down, the advanment gun got bumped and was turned up, so when i set it back to 10 base and revved it listening to the motor since it wouldnt idle right i heard a knock, after motor wouldnt idle or run worth a crap i did a compression check. cyl #2 had zero compression, the rest around 180.no water in oil or vise versa. i pulled the motor thinking it was a piston ring and found blown head gaskets. the two middle were blown out and one the #1 cyl was blown on that side, the other had one cyl on the gasket blown. so im gonna check for warping w/ a straight edge on the heads. then im thinking of replacing the rod and crank bearings, but even though i found a good bit of material from the first oil change, im thinkin its just going to happen again if i put new bearings in. i decide to night if i want to go though the trouble of replacing them. ill get some pictures of the gaskets, heads and block tonight if i mess with it.
will they wear the same if take it easy for a couple hundred miles or will they do the same thing again?
