Default What would happen if..

Well i just got my holley intake, Twisted wedges, 1.6 rockers and valve coversin. What would happen if i installed the heads and intake without going bigger injectors/fuel pump and didnt tune it? Do you think it would still run?

i ask this because inabout spring of next year im going to put together a turbo kit and i dont want to have to buy **** twice and then spend the money for a tune twice, ill just have my H/I hangout until im rdy to install it all ifit wouldnt work.

but it may not run as well as it should and it could cause damage to the motor as well.

Would it really **** my **** up? I know it could run lean, but will it really effect it enough to mess it up?

Bigger injectors would be ideal with your mods but maybe not neccessary. Stock 19# inj. are good to 300 hp. But i would get bigger inj and fuel pump eventually.

If it were to run too lean it could mess up the motor, btw watch the language. They will get you for that.

It will run, but I would get it tuned just to get it running around its peak potential.

Just get the 255lph pump, it will work for you down the road and help now, make sure you have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator

So the consensus is that i can just drop the H/I in without a tune? Cool. Ill eventually get it tuned, but not until after i get the turbo kit in. also,if i dropped ina 255lph fuel pumpwould the computer compensate for the higher flowing fuel pump or would i have to tune that out?My big thing is i want to avoid the tune & injectors until i get my turbo kit going sometime next year.
