Default rocker upgrade

I've been kicking around the idea of putting in a set of rockers in my 93 GT. The heads are stock, but I have a typhoon intake, u/d pullies,cai,65mm tb,70mm maf, full pypes exhaust w/x-pipe, 3:73s. Which would be a better option 1.6 or 1.7? The car is just a weekend cruiser that I'm building on a budget. Also what would a stock head require, stud or pendant mount and would I need different pushrods? Would the 1.7s beat the heck out of my springs or should the springs be replaced when making the upgrade? Finally can I use my stock valve covers with either rocker?

1.7s would be the only reason to do it, and they can fit under stock valve covers if you take out the baffles, pedestal mount rockers, if you go to blueovalindustries.com you can use those with stock length pushrods,i dont know about the springs though.

Sounds like changing to 1.6 isn't worth the effort, what ratio are stock rockers?

stock is 1.6

you'll gain a couple hp due to less friction, but the majority of the gain is by stepping to a 1.7 to give ya some added lift

complete waste of money. get a bigger cam first and some heads.

stock heads are pedastal mount and aftermarket heads are stud mount. they make ped mount heads but who wants non adjustable rockers without using shims.
