Long Tube vs Equal Length
I'm trying to figure which headers would be best for my car... I currently have SLP Loudmouth CAT-back. I was looking at the SLP Longtubes... but I'm not trying to spend that kind of money... but which headers would give me the best results... any help would be appreciated...

IMO, a good set of equal lenght shorties would give you the best bang for your buck unless you're planning to build an all out racer. and they are much easier to install than long tubes and don't get in the way of the starter, etc. when you need to work on them.

www.summitracing.com sells long tubes for 230 bucks made by BBK.

Thanks... yea I'm not building all out race car... just a street car.... aight I appreciate your help... I'll be purchasing them soon... by the way... which brand would be the best to go with? Hooker, BBK, Headman.... ? What would you suggest

another factor is I would not use LT'S on a automatic street car as it put more heat into the trans case....there is no hp advantage with the LT's..this is a proven fact on stock to mild cars...

how much hosepower to the wheels would be considered mild?

I have Mac equal length shorties, they have some kind of coating, but not ceremic but about as good. I love em, I got the, for $220, ill nev er have a problem with them rusting because i dont plan on driving the car in the winter or the rain once i get my license

If I'm not mistaken, long-tube headers are meant if you want to decrease compression in order to accomidate a supercharger. Well, not too sure if that was the reason, but from what I know, longtube headers are mainly good if you want to supercharge, otherwise, go equal-length shorties.
