there's a company that makes locking bolts for headers that use a clip that keeps the bolts from backing off due to vibration.
Grade 8 Fasteners is the name of it, I think.

I've never heard of headers coming that lose before. When you changed header gaskets, did you run the engine for bit and then go back over them?
You just can't tighten them up once and call it a day....the engine needs to get up to OT and then you go back over them again.
I have BBK shorties and they've never come lose like that.

I have only had to tighten mine twice, and they weren't really loose, I got about a 1/8 turn on each, I dont think I will have to do it again.

Its obviously just not me. 2 separate muffler shops have not been able to keep mine on. If medium locktight wont work ill break the bank for the locking bolts, they sound fun anyway...

it is a common thing for them to come loose over time... just depends on what bolts you use really... like roundman said you could just get those bolts.... i bet even the weakest locktight would do the job... wouldnt even be strong enough to snap a bolt on removel i bet....

pay the money for the bolts with the clips, or they make a set that use a allen key to turn a middle piece that spreads the end of the bolt once installed, they sell them at summit. if you use lock tight and you snap a bolt you'r most likely gonna have to pull the enngine to fix the problem. thats why your supposed to use anti seize on the bolts when they are reinstalled. I don't mind retourqing mine everyonce in while not that big of a deal for me, I'm always under the hood for one reason or another anyways, it just gives me somethin to do when I have spare time.

each is own... the weak loctight aint that strong tho... plus if you did break a bolt for some odd reason, prolly wouldnt be hard to fix... but i doubt it would ever happen.... those bolts are like 50 bucks or something... locktight is like 4 bucks...
