Default Explorer Intake and Rods ( 98-2000 )

So I picked up that complete running engine from a 1998 5.0 Explorer, and I got a few questions. I know Im going to use the block, heads, and crank for my rebuild but I need to if there are any issues with using the Explorer intake? It looks just like the regular GT40 one, but I don't have a normal GT40 to sit side by side and compare them. Also are the stock Explorer rods the same as the Mustang rods? Strength wise and all.

look at the caps, if the rod caps have a "rib" on each side they are better. the early rods were like that, then ford went to cheesy *** thin caps, then the late model 302's went back to a strong cap just like the early rods.

Is the "rib" your talking about just a casting line? The ribs are on the bottom of the rod cap not the side right? If I do have the crappy rods I might just so with some Scat forged replacement rods. Any idea on the intake?
