Default camaro

So, there is a kid in my town that thinks his stock camaro can beat mine. He has a Z28 1982 camaro. If my mustang only has headers and a catless h-pipe, can I beat him? I would like to know before I race him

80s mustangs vs 80s camaros is no competition. 89 has altough you have a vert it is heavier, if you are an auto it will be closer. btw whats in his car? 305? 305 u will murder.. 350 will be closer but you will still beat him. 350 camaro = 15.1 ish

That's becaust the AOD's in our cars ARE dogs.. Drive a auto, then a t-5... You'll see.. What is yours? Auto or 5-spd?

Yep, the camaro's are about a mid 17 sec car, with the 350 maybe high 15's or so... You should have no prob. 80's were hell for the camaro.
