Default smog bypass

Ive heard a lil about bypassing my smog pump to increase hp im running a stock 94 gt 5.0 all i have done is dump my exhaust with a set flowtech after burners would this be a good ideah?

think i would notice the horse power diffrence? bc my parents are gay about my car they didnt want me to to dump it...they're weird[>:]

well your not going to notice a major difference at all. most people just cut it loose when they are ready to get hardcore and they eliminate their a/c compressor also just to shave some time off their runs'. if all you have is exhaust you have a along way to go before you need to consider dropping the air pump and a/c. if you plan on passing emmissions it going to pose quite a problem for you. I live in florida so i got rid of mine and i eliminated my a/c also.

Oh, ok, because I think it is recommended that you keep the air pump if you still have cats in your car, otherwise, junk it.
