Are Ford Racing Gears the best? are there different types of ford racing gears because i found 373s for 139 up to 189.

pretty sure they are the same just different companies sell for different prices. yes go with FR gears.

what about installation kit, should i get that or the more expensive bearing kit. do i need the bearing kit? or is the installation kit good enuf? its the same kit just without the bearings. also which rear axle fluid is the best, does it matter?

3.73' are good but i'm pretty sure they offer 390's now u should go for those instead, they weren't avail. for the ford 8.8's before otherwise they would prolly be the no1 choice instaed of 373's, i have 3.55's now and i'm not pleased i think i'm gonna get 390's when i get a chance.

Well, I dont know about the 3.90's but I have heard good things about the 4.10s in a 5.0, so I purchased a set. Waiting for them to be installed hopefully next monday! Can't wait! Ill let everyone know how they are.

use a good quality petroleum based rear end lube and yes you do need the friciton modifier for the clutches in the posi.
