Not sure what tranny I've got in mine, but I'm worried about it. I know it's not the stock unit because there's a sticker on the bottom that says something about a warranty exchange. But I have a feeling that it's a plain jane t-5 replacement. Previous owner was running n2o.

I think that 400/380 might be a tad ambitious.

My setup consists of
edelbrock performer heads
30 lb injectors
70mm maf
70mm tb/egr
power + upper/lower
f303 cam
mac shorties
mac cai
flowmaster 40's
o/r H-pipe
tweecer'd a9m eec (nowhere near done tuning)
aeromotive afpr
8.5:1 rebuild .030" over

and with a 5000rpm cutoff I ran ~260/284 at the tires. After I get some tuning time in I'll take it back for a full pull to ~7000.

Ok well for one thing-BCisme- this exact motor made 370 hp @ 6000rpm and 358 lb-ft torque @ 4100 rpm as seen in the July 2001 CARCRAFT magazine. The reason it should have more power closer to 400 is because the motor didnt have the hooker super competitionheaderscobra 1.7 roller rockers and edelbrock rpm air gap intake, 9.0:1 is a good compression ratio I dont know what the hell you are talking about that motor not making those numbers when they have been proven...LOL'

Poll Question: How tuff is the T5 and how much power???

T5 Tuffness

Modded 5.0 HP/TQ

I'm kinda torn here. I think the T5 is Modded 5.0 HP/TQ tuff, but I think the engine will have T5 Tuffness power. No wait, the other way around. No wait. Errrrr. Huh?

Polls are dangerous in the wrong hands

Several of them are.

I'm sure you're aware that two engines can be built be the same guy, using the same parts, and they'll have different power.

9:1 is stock compression. Usually people who are going all motor bump it up to 10:1 (or so I hear). I dropped mine down a hair because I intend to supercharge it.

Should be a hell of a motor. Let us know what it does on the dyno.

Hey no offence intended, and welcome by the way. You have to understand that everyone and their brothers usually talk out their *** about their hp or 1/4 mile times, so when someone new joins talking the same stuff, its natural for people to be skeptical. There has been ALOT of drama here in the last couple days lol.

Ya its cool. Its just that I have seen similar people with my engine combo making around the same horsepower, and the same combo has been tested on separate dynos so I dont know. For sure it was 370 and 358. Mabye its just the altitude/air or something around here if that would have anything to do with it lol

t5.....just remember the mag. want to sell more mags.. I'm sure when dyno everything was perfect.. the 30 pound injectors Horatio is using is most likely the coprate..24's might yield a better gain also the a9m could be....the tweecer will help but fuel curve would need to be addressed that combo would be hard press to put out 400hp...people think it's so easy to get 400/500 hp...it's not....they throw that 500hp # around...I have a ton of mods and I would be shocked mine was over 525hp. this is not to fire up anyone...but to this date I have built over 500 engines and I have seen what it takes...just my 2 cents
