Default 88 Mustang question

Hey right now i own a 96 auto convertable mustang gt .. its stock and down the street someones selling their 88 5.0 gt and im pretty sure its stock.. they want 3,100 and it has 78k miles on it.. Do you guys think its a good swap and will i notice a difference in performance? or no..

I assume you are talking about trading your car for the 88GT-- you will probably notice a performance increase because the 88 is lighter but you will screw yourself because your car is worth more than $3100. You would be better off to sell your car for $5500-$7000(just a rough est.) and buy a fox body car, just my opinion.

yeah if u want a fox sell your car and buy one off e-bay that alredy has mods on it.

i dont think he means his car and 3100, I'm guessing he means to get rid of his current car before he buys this one, in that case yes het as much as you think is fair for your current car and go with the faster fox classic, besides they look better too...lol
only thing you might want to do eventually with the 88 stang is convert to mass air as soon as you decides its time for a cam.

i dont reccomend buying a car off ebay unless u can go physically inspect the car urself exspecially when it has mods because most people who have mods tend to beat on thier car a lil so play it on the safe side id sell that car for the 88 cause verts suck n that 88 is way better looking

based on my great experience with my '88, I gotta say go for it! just be aware that it will probably need some suspension work like new bushings, etc. as the rubber is really getting old right about now.
