Default Blow off valve for a supercharger

So I Just got the P1SC Procharger kit for my car, all I really need is the bypass valve that they include in the kit. I was shopping around and the shop that ordered my stuff told me that they don't use the bypass valve from procharger. Instead they use some Saab OEM one. This saves the buyer some money...Then I got to thinking...Why can't I spend even less moeny and get a used or maybe brand new Blow off valve from ebay. Then I started to wonder if that even works? So can you use a Blow off on a supercharger kit? If so how? I really can't see the two being all that different...

Also...does anyone have a suggestion on what type sounds the best?: )

If you've got a blow thru set up yes, draw thru no.

Is your MAF placed before or after the supercharger? Why not just go with a bosch bypass valve, BOV's are noisy. I'm sure that your s/c kit is already set up for a bypass valve anyways. A bypass valve recirculates the air back into the intakewhen the throttle plate is closed thus preventing compressor surge, a bov does the same thing but it is used with a blow thru system and when the throttle plate is closed under boost the excess air is vented into the atmosphere.

By draw through he means.....MAF --> SC -->Throttlebody
Blow through.........................SC --> MAF -->Throttlebody
The arrows are the direction of the air.

Which one is yours?

Chances are, if he has a Procharger then it's blow through. Especially if it's mounted on the driver's side like they usually are.
