Default Lowering w/o c/c plates

I want to know how much I can lower my stock 91 GT w/o requiring c/c plates. Right now I am thinking about getting Vogtland , pro kit, or these. Right now I have a little over 3 inches between my tire top and fender. With my new wheels I will lose about a third of an inch in the wheel well. So my goal is to lower this thing without screwing up the alignment.

Your question is loaded because it really depends on how much negative camber you are willing to put up with.

My Mustang has Eibach sportlines. I think it's a 2" drop. I have major neg caster 3.5 deg.

Is - 3.5 camber too much? Not bad for autocrossing or a short trip Sunday car.
Skinny front tires will also forgive lots of positve or negative camber.

I have the exact opposite. Mine is a daily driver with widelow profile tires. I'm killing the insides ofmy front tires. It's too bad though because it handles like it's on rails.

I put camber bolts on my struts when I installed my FRPP B-springs. I would estimate that I got about 1" of drop out of them and it definately needed something to correct the geometry. Camber bolts aren't the best way to go (I will do plates when I do the struts), but they're cheap and will get ya by.

So the stock equipment doesn't allow for camber adjustments?

no, it allows for camber adjustments, just not enough adjustment for a lowered car.

I have my car lowered 3 or 4 inches in the front with coil overs and I have camber and toe in spec without plates. Caster is close, all I had to do was loosen the k member bolts and shift it forward. I do have plates though that I'm putting on thursday.

I'm going to get some springs that will lower about an inch. Now I need to get shocks. Will stock replacements work or do I need to get something different?
