Default RE: 5 lug conversion HELP

Why does everyone say you need a new master cylinder? I am using the same master that came on my 87 with my 4 wheel disc brake conversion and I have never had a problem with them, if anything in some cases you may need a different proportioning valve to balance the system but I am even using the one that came on my car. And if it is only a 5 lug (ranger) conversion with the standard disc/drum there is no need to change the master, your still using the same size brakes just extra lugs.
