with an automatic trans, u either flush it regularly or dont flush at all. if it has alot of miles and u flush it, the clutch material is only being held by the sludge, if u flush out the sludge u know have no friction material and begin to slip

There is no way to flush it with out the flush machine, drop the pan and the filter, pull the access cover for the tq converter and drain it.

If this is for preventative maintenance there is no need to completely flush it.

Drain, change filter, clean pan, reinstall pan and refill.

When we change our engine oil, not all the oil comes out of the engine. No problem there.

The above post is correct in may ways.
The modern 'mass merchandiser' auto shops like to talk about how the machine flushes the trans.
Good, what about all the crap in the filter?
The ONLY reason they want to do this is that it's faster/cleaner than doing it the right way........
