Default The optionals of MAF conversion???

so on the MAF conversion sheet, its says messing with the fuel pump relay and the VSS are optional. if i already have cruise control do i even need to worry about these, or should i do it??? what kind of problems will it cause if i don't do it??? it says optional, but it seems like some people have problems when they dont hook these wires up.

They are not "optional"......they should be made as part of the conversion. VSS input is used by the system to id load + select idle strategies, FP wiring is used to id the fuel pump is operational when it's supposed to. If they have a pin assigned in the ECM connector.....they are inputs required by the logic.....

Definitly need the VSS if you have a 5 speed....should do it no matter what, but if you have cruise, you are all set, just have to do some splicing. I didn't do the fuel pump signal wire....I was going to, just didn't do it yet and I have no problems besides a code. S/D cars without CEL's FTW

yeah i dont get it am i going to gain anything besides another crappy sensor to replace later on?ive heard speed density doesnt respond well to mods but i know for a fact maf doesnt either unless u get a special maf and stuff to trick the ecu, so why bother??it requires a new ecu and the dang maf sensor which restricts airflow compared to not having it
