i think my car heats up very fast??
when i drive my TEMP is always under the average, unless i just start up and when i drive i feel like the cars engine is getting too hott!! plus it gets very f**king hot by my ebrake, and center consol..
like sometimes i stop and pop the hood and its hot under there i mean all cars get hot i know that but for some reason i think this is too hot! (first stang)
if it is suppose to be that way just let me know, so i relax, im affraid the gauge is broken and the f*ing thing will over heat.
95 gt btw...

ok, i do want to change all my gauges to after market but how will i connect it?
does anyone know which wires on the back of the cluster i need to cut and connect to the after market gauge, or thats not how it works? lol

ok what you do is by an aftermarket mechanical gauge. it will have this long copper core wire comming out the back wrapped in a coil. find a good place to mount it in yoru car.
then proceede to route that wire through your firewall along the lower intake to the front of the lower intake. (not sure on 94-95) there is a wire that plugs into the lower manifold on the front most part on the right (when you rlooking at the intake manifold) unplug that wire and unbolt the sensor. (warning! coolant will spray out a little bit if you dont drain the collant a little bit.)
use plumbers tape on the threads of the new mechanical gauge adapter that goes into the manifold. bolt into place, tightly.
once this is complete turn on car and let it run. you dont need to worry about hte stock wire you can leave it there for now if your not worry about it.
if your car is hot then on the mechanical gauge you have some other porblems.

with the mechanical gauge you dont have to do any wiring. it all runs off of mechanical interpretations (whats actually happening to the sensor) there is no electrical intrepration with resistors n such. much much more accurate than stock and you will always know whats up. get aftermarket oil pressure gauge while your at it.

i want to get thhe gauges in my dash and put them on the left side on the windshield like the turbo gauges and put the RPM and speed on the dash by the clock and get rid of the whole cluster but then i wont know when the service engine lights low oil or any of that will be on, and suggestions...
and where can i get all these gauges for not too much $$

you can buy gauge kits from autometer or autozone. not the most flattering gauges but i think they look alright. about 200-300 bucks for 5 1/2 inch speedo and tach, 2 1/16 gas, volt, temp, and oil pressure gauges. i think you can interchange them too i dunno. you can mount then in your stock cluster, i've seen it done. you cut holes in the stock panels and slide in the new gauge and you dont have to mess with the little blind bulbs and all that stuff. you can spend 650 and get a custom cluster made with all nice autometer gauges starting at 650 going up to 1500 depending on the style and gauges you want. its all wired and ready to go with good instructions.
