Get a pushrod length checker.

I really don't think that longer push rods will solve your problem alot of guys I have seen with simular setups use stock length ones with 1.7 rockers

I used stock length hardened push rods with my p heads 1.7 rockers and a tfs1 cam, it seems to work well
As did I with my TFS cam and P heads. They work well, but I'm using stock rockers.
hey have you had a problem with your headers burning up your spark plug wires?? I have changed 3 different wires since I got these headers on[:@]

I know I should get the custom length ones I have just been too lazy lately

you and a handful of others on this site have, im wondering maybe my rockers are bad? they were used i bought from e bay, crane cams type "same as in 94-95 cobra". I asked a few guys here that work on engines and they all said stock length should work.
how long ago did you buy those rockers???

a month ago from reedracer on ebay, another thing i noticed is they have numbers on them in the middle of the rocher on the pushrod side 12 of them had the number one on them and four of them had a 2 does that mean anything,
and if longer pushrods isnt the solution what is ? adjustable studs?

It sounds like you have a used motor with a few collasped lifters, resulting in excessive valve lash.

Id remove the intake and replace the lifters at the problematic valves. happened to me, the bores were worn on the inside, I like to here a motor run before I buy it.

were you comfortable adjusting your valve lash? and did you soak your lifters in oil for a day before install
